These great knitting bags are hand made here at Midwinter Yarns using genuine vintage fabrics dating from between the 1950s and 70s.
The bag measures a generous 24cm across the top, 25cm deep and has a reinforced 10cm deep base to allow it to stand on it's own while you work on your project, comfortably holding up to 300gr of yarn. Perfect for smaller projects like socks, hats or simple shawls.
All bags are made with cotton or cotton/linen fabrics, lined with a sturdy, bright cotton and closed with a woven cotton drawstring secured with a sliding wooden bead.
"Yellow Bloom" is made using a fantastic 70s print featuring big orange, white and yellow flowers on a brown background - that typical "caravan curtains" look!. This fabric is actually completely unused and fresh off the bolt, so still feels crisp with bright colours despite its age, and is a particularly sturdy canvas texture so will happily stand up unaided. The finished bag is lined with a warm orange cotton fabric.
Our project bags are made using one-off, upcycled fabrics, so when they are gone, they are gone.
Due to the age of the fabric, some small faded patches or seam lines may occur. Pattern placement, ribbons and bead colours may vary from bag to bag.
