Fair Isle Needlepoint kit - Yule

These needlepoint designs are inspired by the rich knitting traditions of Shetland.

They feature patterns found in traditional Fair Isle knitting, and are worked in the same Shetland wool too, all grown here on the islands.

This Yule design is also a celebration of my own Swedish roots through Shetland motifs. The hearts and stars are typical of Swedish Christmas decorations, and the use of undyed, natural wool against the traditional red is symbolic of the quiet cosiness that surrounds our Yule.

5 or 6 inch embroidery hoop

embroidery scissors or thread snips
