Fair Isle Needlepoint kit - Spring

These needlepoint designs are inspired by the rich knitting traditions of Shetland.

They feature patterns found in traditional Fair Isle knitting, and are worked in the same Shetland wool too, all grown here on the islands.

Each design reflects a season in Shetland.

Spring, or voar in Shetland dialect, brings delicate light after the dark winter. Colours start to appear too: pretty snowdrops, bright daffodils and eventually sea pinks brighten our road sides and coast line.
